9JASTYLECHANNEL : So you've always had a passion for dentistry or was it medicine initially

AKINFAMINU : Always been dentistry, I happened to have a lot of exposure to it from a long time ago so I picked interest in it. Dentistry is medicine actually but it's just too voluminous to be subclassified. It's a specialty just like any other.

9JASTYLECHANNEL : What exposure have you been having in relation to it ?

AKINFAMINU : My dad's a dentist

9JASTYLECHANNEL : Oh isee where the release of free donor dna to your recipient cells came about.

9JASTYLECHANNEL : Nevrmind. Let's move on. Where do you see yourself five years from today ?

AKINFAMINU : By God's grace, Professionally I'll be a doctor by then and I also hope to have driven my passion for fashion even futher than I have at the moment.

9JASTYLECHANNEL : Coming to fashion. You're one hell of fashionista. I tell the people that run my page to always make features of you. When did the fashion instinct come to play ?

AKINFAMINU : Thank you very much.  I've always had a passion for art and creativity generally and fashion has been a practical way of expression. So the aesthetic instinct drives my approach to fashion

9JASTYLECHANNEL : Do you model ?

AKINFAMINU : I do occasionally.  But I style more than I model

9JASTYLECHANNEL : How do you intend on being a doctor professionally and also being a top class stylist. It's an impossible combination

AKINFAMINU : It's all about time management. I have a lot of friends that do something else apart from the practice and they're doing fine so if your time is managed properly, and by God's grace, it'll be fine

9JASTYLECHANNEL : Do you think your style has been the ultimate aphrodisiac for other sexes. And how do you handle the female attention ?

AKINFAMINU : Lol I actually don't express my Style with aphrodisiac motives But its only physiological for your attention to be caught when you see someone of the opposite sex dressed impeccably so that's the closest relationship I presume. Haha the female attention? Um I've always had a lot of female friends actually so I don't have a problem making new friends, we all need friends innit?

9JASTYLECHANNEL : Awesome. So are you in any relationship?

AKINFAMINU : At the moment, I'm not.

9JASTYLECHANNEL: Alright. Who's your closest female friend ? Nd male friend

AKINFAMINU: Oh I was really grateful to the people who voted for me, the award of course is a lovely achievement but more importantly knowing that people see and appreciate what you do is a wonderful feeling and a big motivation. Using this medium to Thank them as we'll, love y'all

9JASTYLECHANNEL: Do you think the award show had flaws ? No matter how little ?

AKINFAMINU: I think they did very well but the major flaw was timing, started pretty late, but otherwise it was well put together, kudos to the team.

9JASTYLECHANNEL: Thank you akin. You're amazing

INTERVIEW: THOMPSONPHOTOG EKONG PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER

9JASTYLECHANNEL: Full name , Age , School, Course
THOMPSONPHOTOG_: Thompson S Ekong , 19 , Babcock University , Mass communication
9JASTYLECHANNEL: when did you start photography?
THOMPSONPHOTOG: 2013
9JASTYLECHANNEL: You've been in this for two years is that enough experience to be called a professional photographer ?
THOMPSONPHOTOG: No at all!
9JASTYLECHANNEL: What made you choose photography ? I mean what inspired you
THOMPSONPHOTOG: I inspired myself
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Okay. Babcockbuniversity and professional photography what has been the challenges
THOMPSONPHOTOG: Babcock university photography  is a smaller field and has a smaller range of perspectives, it's about students and how they understand the world, it's about how they grow with their environment and learn from it. Professional photography is a larger bigger ball game, perspectives change even more and you this time the camera is the one doing the talking cause the environments are all around from once scene to another, it's a different story, with different themes and it's up to you to understand the right way to adapt the story into images.
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Okay. How's the market in your school. Are photographers in demand ? Or you have to struggle with the field being saturated with alot of photographers
THOMPSONPHOTOG: The first question:
Honestly I don't appreciate a lot of school photographers anymore cause they belittle the art of photography. Like everything else, to them it's just a stunt of fame and more Instagram followers. Most of them don't perceive what it means to create "Aesthetic Pauses" that capture moments, feelings, actions perfectly or almost perfectly to be kept frozen in time. That's why I try and push conceptual images a lot so I can send a message about the art, my art of story telling and notions that fight against conformed and simple minded "fame shots" (like i call them) that can easily be created. With that been said, yes the market is saturated but only a few have the keen eye to replicate humanity through the lens. So I'm not really moved or inspired my the large amount of "Fame Photographers" but still it shows that a culture is growing for the love the lens and I'm happy about that. First wave will be the band followers, the next wave will be the true artist.
9JASTYLECHANNEL: if Dominic wants an hour photo session what do you charge ??
THOMPSONPHOTOG: Second Question:
Well, it depends. I'd have to talk to my management and also understand what exactly will be shot within that hour. A lot goes into my process of charging. I don't discuss my financial quotas for charging or prices. When the time comes for me to work with an individual or a project, it will be provided. I'd rather focus on my work and self-growth in my art.
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Booking information?
THOMPSONPHOTOG: mail me
Thompsonphotog92@gmail.com
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Thanks for you time.

INTERVIEW: SEYEKEHINDE YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHER

9JASTYLECHANNEL: Okay. Let's start with your full name, age , school, course
SEYEKEHINDE: Oluseye Kehinde , I'm 18 years old , I'm in Babcock university, I study mass communication
9JASTYLECHANNEL: When did you start photography
SEYEKEHINDE: 2011
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Okay. You were 14 then , probably still in high school right ?
SEYEKEHINDE: correct!
9JASTYLECHANNEL: What made you jump into photography
SEYEKEHINDE: I used to watch my sister do (at the time what I thought was ) magic with picasa's HDR filter. And it just made me feel like adventuring into taking pictures
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Has it been a good so far ?
SEYEKEHINDE: Well I have to say development did take its time but as of 2014 it has sped up rapidly
9JASTYLECHANNEL: So you're in babcock. How does photography profit you in school ?
SEYEKEHINDE: Financially profit is very minimal. As people think photography is just a piece of cake that you can do with a snap but they don't understand what it truly takes to get a good picture . so they don't believe in paying for pictures much. But as for exposure. I have grown considerably in my reputation as a photographer in Babcock
9JASTYLECHANNEL: What are the challenges you face as a photographer
SEYEKEHINDE: In general I face a challenge in the limited ability of my current set of equipment. But as I get better I'll obtain more capable equipments. Just like how I began with my first camera which was very limited as compared to my current one
9JASTYLECHANNEL: What about challenges with customers?
SEYEKEHINDE: I handle my customers like they are my friends so we don't have much chnallenges. But i still make sure to keep a professional air around us however
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Dominic wants an hour photo session with you, what's your price ?
SEYEKEHINDE: Well Seye kehinde's price range for an hour is 15-2000 Naira depending on the number of pictures you select
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Booking information ?
SEYEKEHINDE: Contact my manager : Sonia Fela Aluku : 07088905741
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Thank you for time
SEYEKEHINDE: You're very welcome.

INTERVIEW: LOSGIDDY THE RENOWNED PHOTOGRAPHER

9JASTYLECHANNEL:
Let's start with the brief interview, Full name,  age   ,  school and course
LOSGIDDY: Lol, not in school.
My pseudonym/brand name is Losgiddy.
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Okay , it's a brand name. Is photography the reason you aren't in school ?
LOSGIDDY: No you dont understand, Im done with school. I finished school 2011. I'm a full time photographer. It's not just some hobby after hours. Lol
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Okay , I understand now. So when did you start photography ?
LOSGIDDY: 2011
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Four years of experience , is that enough to be called a professional photographer ?
LOSGIDDY: Photography is not really about the years of experience its the skill involved. I actually studied photography. If you finish from law school...are you a lawyer?
Or is 5 years not enough to be called one?
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Great , I get you. I totally do. What made you go into photography ? Cos people do think the lagos photography market is so large and so many people be involved. What still made you study photography
LOSGIDDY: When i was getting into photography in 2010/2011 it wasnt really a known job..so saturation of the industry was not even in the equation then. Photography for me has always been about self expression and being able to tell a story or depict one to an audience. Pretty much making the world see things the way you do. For me its about looking at ordinary things and trying to bring out the beauty in them thru angles and lighting. In general photography for me is a way of life and a religion almost. Real photography comes from the heart and needs no equipment
9JASTYLECHANNEL: You display works of mostly naked women. is that your major ?
LOSGIDDY: Naked women...no...boudoir and art nudity...yes. For me...the female form is one of the best canvasses for art. A lot of expressions and moods can be created with it. Makes for much easier audience to artist translation than other forms of art to me. Apart from that..on an international scale...my nude works appeal to galleries in europe with people who have a greater understanding of art. As a matter of fact..i shall be exhibiting my recent piece "Afrocentric eccentricity" a nude series in london this summer
9JASTYLECHANNEL: are you based in London ?
LOSGIDDY: No,im based in lagos Nigeria..but photography takes me where im needed. Which is pretty much everywhere.
9JASTYLECHANNEL: Dominic wants an hour photo session. What do you charge ?
LOSGIDDY: are we still on interview questions or is this off that?
9JASTYLECHANNEL: still the interview
LOSGIDDY: But you are looking at a minimum of 80k - 100k. Depends on the concept. The location we'll be using. The studio provides a stylist, makeup artist and creative director.
9JASTYLECHANNEL: What has been your challenges as a professional photographer
LOSGIDDY: Challenges would most likely be...shooting on locations and getting disturbed by touts in lagos. Not the same problem in the UK. So security threats when shooting out on location. Easily check mated with police personnel. But u find you are adding more to your budget than required for a detail that on a normal day shouldnt be a concern.
9JASTYLECHANNEL: That would be all. Thank you losgiddy
